Matt Hussung has been
employed with Hanson Professional Services since
May of 1993.
Hanson Professional Services (previously Hanson
Engineers) is one of the top architectural & engineering
firms in the country. Hanson had revenues of over $60
million in 2007, and employs over 400 people in 20 offices across the US. At Hanson,
Matt utilizes software packages including Microstation,
GeoPak, AutoCAD and Eagle Point design software as well
as Microsoft Office in a Windows environment. At Hanson,
Matt works on a variety of projects, but specializes in
Roadway Design.
Running currently
takes up a lot of Matt's time. After a "19 year break" Matt is trying to
get back into competitive running. After a few months training, Matt has trimmed
his 5K time down to 19'37", a 6'18" mile pace. Matt
ran his first competitive event, the Twilight Classic 5K in
Forreston, IL on March 23, 2007. Placing 11th of 123 overall
and receiving a silver medal for 2nd in his age group.
Matt's current running goals are to continue to improve
his 5K times, to beat his PR mile time of 5'07"
(his 8th grade mile record that still stands) and to run
the Rockford Marathon in May of 2009.
Hussung is a partner
in RocketStudio, a media design firm out of Rockford, IL.
RocketStudio specializes in web design, comic and
mixed-media development, screenplays and programming.
Previously, Matt served as
President of Top Shelf Promotions, a successful
collectible show hosting company. Top Shelf was also the launch
pad for the RocketStudio partnership. Prior to Top
Shelf, Matt was a partner at E2CD, a photography
on CD business. He also enjoys being an eBay
PowerSeller.
 Computers
have been a large part of Matt's life. He has been using
computers since he was 8 years
old with the introduction of the TRS-80 in 1980. He
enjoys programming, web
design and works with computers on a daily basis at
Hanson Professional Services. In 1997 one of his expansion levels for the game
Heroes of Might and Magic II was published by Mirage
Media, a division of New World Computing / 3DO for
retail sale in Poland. Matt is currently playing
Lord of the Rings Online on
the Arkenstone server. Matt also enjoys reading and
research on the microcomputer history and where it is

Matt lives in a small town
in northern Illinois, USA with his wife
Daniele
(the owner of
Hannah Portraits) and their two
sons Ian and
Ryan. Our favorite
family vacation spot is Florida and
Walt Disney World.
